Coho-Grill makes the most of its space. Not only is there indoor/outdoor seating at the attractive eatery, but the shopping plaza entrance also serves as its entertainment area.
Guests entering the restaurant pass by a musician's stand surrounded by a few cloth-covered high-top tables. Those looking for appetizers rather than dinner and cocktails take one of these seats or find room at an L-shaped bar looking out into the lobby.
Appetizers are reasonable -- an ample platter of sautéed mussels costs $6.50; and drinks are competitively priced -- a house-brand rum and coke is $4.50, a diet soda $1.50. Surroundings are eye-catching -- walls are sponge-painted coral; ceiling covering resembles embossed metal tiles; amber light scones are triangular; flooring has an attractive design.
The keyboardist heard on a recent Friday performed pleasing renditions of songs such as Jammin' and Little Darling, but he only fills in occasionally. Weekend music generally is a mixture of reggae, pop and oldies.
Although there is no designated dance floor, there is plenty of maneuvering room around the musician.
Hours: Lunch 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dinner 5-10 p.m. nightly
